Week 6

Detroit throws 57 passes to 5 runs after they get down big early, almost come back at around halftime but the New Orleans rushing attack (288 Yds, 2 TDs) combined with Armstrong's accuracy (171 Yds, 4 TDs, 1 Int) pulled away from them. NOS defense took 5 picks and had 4 sacks in an eventual 42-27 rout. The sad part was that after throwing 3+ picks in the first half, Detroit almost tied the game up. The defense stepped up today, and the offense was clicking on all cylinders. This was a statement after that close loss to the division rivals Tampa Bay. The boys were apparently fired up today.

The team got nicked up a little bit, but one major injury was to starting RG Anthony Huynh, who left early with a concussion. He will undergo league concussion protocols, they're saying it's minor but the team will take their time with their best lineman. He'll likely be out at least for next week's game.

Special teams, offense, and defense all had a good game in this one. Stl returned a punt 70 yards for a touchdown, played great defense not giving up any touchdowns and no points in the second half, and an offense that went on multiple time consuming touchdown drives. That is championship winning formula football. Still have a few things to get better at, and the season is still young, but feeling good about the team overall. Next up, to take on a Detroit team with something to prove after a loss to New Orleans.

GG Cleveland
Saddler and Fisher are a effective 1 2 punch.
Hill had some big runs and both defenses had some turnovers.

We scored 38 points exactly for the 3rd time this season. It's our lucky number.

Of all the teams that my team can't solve this season, it of course has to be a divisional rival.

Course, Cincy is the powerhouse of the league, so the fact we've played them close in both games is of some consolation.

GG, Dave. Hope to see you in the playoffs... Or maybe not. Heh.
