I want to first say 'thanks' to everyone for making the MyFootballNow community so great. I love the passion that everyone has, the love of football, and in general just how much fun we have around here.

Sometimes that passion can get out of hand, though, and as our community grows I am receiving more reports of inappropriate behavior. In the past I've issued warnings before taking action, but because of the size of our community now I am forced to act more swiftly when these things happen.

Please note the following paragraph in the terms and conditions:

Terms wrote:
No material shall be posted on or transmitted through the MyFootballNow.com Site which violates or infringes in any way upon the rights of others, which is unlawful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, vulgar, obscene, profane, indecent or otherwise objectionable, which encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, gives rise to civil liability or otherwise violates any law. No conduct shall be undertaken that, in Catalyst's judgement, restricts or inhibits any other user from using or enjoying the MyFootballNow.com Site.

This includes private message correspondence.

If you receive offensive correspondence, I would suggest that you block the user in question, but if for some reason you don't and the offensive correspondence continues, please send me a private message and I will investigate, and if necessary, remove the offending account.

Also, we all know this, but just to include it here:

Terms wrote:
You may not create more than one user account. Instances of multiple accounts by the same person are strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate termination and blocking access from the site.

If you suspect that an account in your league is a duplicate owner, let me know and I will investigate it. Most of the time when I receive a report it turns out to be family/work-mates/schoolmates/roommates, and of course there is nothing wrong with that. If after investigation I see fingerprints of trying to get around the IP trade restrictions, I will act quickly and remove the accounts.

I hate having to make a post like this, but here it is. I know that there are very few offenders in either of these categories, but in order to let everyone know my intentions I am posting this notice. If you have any questions about what else you have agreed to by participating in MyFootballNow, please read the terms and conditions.

Thanks again for being a great community - you may now return to your regularly scheduled simming.

I don't post much on here and don't have much time to read the forums - but I did want to come on and address the threads that I have deleted over the last few days.

Someone posted that I deleted the thread because I don't want folks talking bad about the game or threatening to leave if I don't make this or that change. I left that thread here a very long time, and frankly I don't have a problem with folks airing their frustrations about the game. I will admit that I've not been able to roll out updates like I would like to do, and I know that's frustrating. But I didn't delete the thread because my skin is too thin to take the thought of folks talking bad about the game.

What I'm concerned about is the fact that these threads have devolved into a great deal of mistreatment of your fellow game players. I've been really proud of the way this community has been positive through the years, and I know some of the reason for its' devolving is my absence, but it's not too much to ask that we treat one another with civility here. Name calling and blanket accusations have no place in MyFootballNow. If you have a problem with someone, read my post above, and do your part to not engage in inappropriate behavior. Let's restore the positive community that this game was originally built on.
