Yeah just wanted to restate, I'm really not long-pass-phobic at all its just.. kinda embarrassing to admit the reason.

I get a f***ing MFN ***** when I remove the long pass plays from my playbook I hate it. It kinda gives the game a really weird vibe if I'm sword fighting at full mast but I can't f***ing do anything about it. It's not like I have a touchdown fetish or any of that s*** I just inexplicably get an MFN hard on when I remove them.

I'm not tryna do the stupid "haha long pass bad I'm such a sigma" it just makes the game weird for me to play and I want to know if there's a JDB or something to remove the long pass plays.

Statistically speaking short passes are the best overall generators of passing yards since the have a high completion rate and low sack rate. The problem with all passes is that they produce so few big plays and don't exploit coverages.

And long passes get you sacked.......like way too much.

There were a few long passes that worked quite well in 4.5 where the QB would hit the RB in the flat, but, in 4.6, that doesn't seem to happen. The QB just stands there and takes sack after sack.

I'll dig up the data but I'm almost certain that no long pass works against any defense

I can't remember the last time I ran a Long Pass play, removed them soon after 4.6 came out.

For whatever reason, the _only_ Long Pass in my database that seems to "work" right now is the Gun 5 WR Corner Post.

162 attempts, clean% of 87. Has produced 0 TDs against 2 INTs. And only scores a "big play" of more than 10 yards 42.69% of the time against 64.81% completion rate.

I assume it's just hitting the WR4 who runs the 8 and out.

At -2.2 my team would call this play fair. Having 10 out of your 40 long plays near zero is probaly considered "good" within averages of the total results.

Plays without a dumpoff option(like any 5 wide set) seems to read the recievers differently. Maybe the 4th wr is the dumpoff here and getting the majority of the reads.

We passed long around 500 times in the last 32 games. (in MFN1) The results are poor but the stats should be cast against man under 2 deep calls and also blitzes.. It would be nice to have an elite QB too

I saw a long pass at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
