Good to see y'all still be hating one another, tearing people down and all that stuff :)
Bad to not see any update.
Thought I'd check in after several months to see if it was an ish-me or an issue.
It's an ish-you.
pretty sure a MFN update would quell the inter-player abuse issues so prevalent in MFN.
We all know an enforcement of TOS won't. ;)

I'd I imagine PM'ing JDB direct proof of ToS violations would work in getting action taken against the post/user. But IIRC Catalyst has the right not the obligation to monitor the forums. They also explicitly state they are not responsible for defamatory comments, etc. made by people not affiliated with Catalyst games which I assume is just JDB.

Court can shake out differently and I'm not an attorney at all but the ToS violations don't really seem to be happening that often since defamation would be a tricky case if all these chat logs were subpoenaed and used as evidence for/against whoever

Edit: also first paragraph is from the ToS that we all agree to when we make our accounts and continue to use them

Yes , you know I did , there is a better way to make your point.

This is hardly someone ‘ruining a league’ , especially when the admin that created it has been transparent in what is trying to be achieved here.
Don’t like it? Fine. Move on.

No one has a gun at their head.

Moved on.

Honestly don’t know how some of you folks have so much time to invest in what should be some light hearted fun.

If you don’t like it fine, move along.

The problem we have is that GDB is misrepresenting himself as some steward of MFN, protecting us from the evil exploiters who dare to use WRs at RB, when he himself has been a speed exploiter, having rosters full of speed only players with no football skills to speak of.

Nobody is perfect, not me, not CJ, nobody, but we can't sit idly by while some snake oil salesman is peeing down people's backs and telling them it's raining.

Honestly Gus, I think if you were aware of everything we know GDB has done, you'd sing a different tune.

Well, I dont really care what anyone says about Grandpa cheating or whatever else. When I first signed up on MFN probably over 2.5 years ago, Grandpa was one of, I think he was the very first, veteran owners on here offering aid and advice on everything from the quirks of roster managment to gameplan strategies. This was way before 4.6 when we had some QBs throwing for 600 yards and 8 TDs a game. It didnt take me long before I was winning a few League Championship Titles and I never learned any cheating or, player positioning tricks, from him either. A true mentor trains his students to be able to win and perhaps one day defeat them.......and thats exactly what happened because I ended up defeating Grandpa two years in a row in the Elite League Championship.

I played 16 years of football up until I graduated college so Id like to think my experience playing the game for so long helps me here in MFN, but it actually doesnt much. Real football strategies and thinking will only get you so far here because its all about what plays work the best, where to put your WR and RBs, and balancing the gameplan and formation sliders effectively. Just like in Madden for Xbox and Playstation, there are those select bread and butter plays that seem to work way more often than most others. So instead of a real chess match of football experience and wisdom, its more like a...... who knows all the cracked plays and who can exploit them with tricky swaps of player positions. To be honest its like that so bad on MFN that sometimes it doesnt even feel like football, but this simulation is the closest and best feel we have. Oh yea.... back to my point...

What the **** is yallz problem with Grandpa seriously?

There is absolutely no reason to rehash old news, nothing good will come of it. I have my reasons and I've made them known before, as have others. I don't remember where but maybe if you search the message boards, you'll find some stuff.

Lots of stuff in here since my last post on this thread. All the stuff about cheating, lol. It only happened on the punt block rule, and it happened "repeatedly" because I did not set up my spec teams correctly, never did up until then, punt returns were a non factor. The only other "cheat" was roster composition, and subbing a RB in the TE spot, big deal. I carried 2 TEs and a RB was put in the TE3 spot. Thats all I can remember, if there are any other violations of rules, they pale in comparison to rosters with all CB and WR, and minimal play selection based on data analysis. You could label that "cheating" also.

Anyway, be that as it may, the FCS "experiment" has been fun so far, one of the main reasons is that it is more challenging to play the game with both the "good" plays and "bad" plays combined, where you can still use a long pass play and have a chance with it, There are four leagues now in MFN that use full play selection and diversity, inclusion of 4 & 5 WR personnel plays, zone coverages .... you know, the personnel and plays used in RL lootball. If you would prefer or would like to try it out, pick up a team in the Elite, NCAA, DFL, or FCS league.
