No, only the head coach and his playbook determine plays. OC and DC affect players ratings...not quite as much as the HC but more than position coaches.

I look at OC and DC almost as HC in waiting.

That's kind of what I figured. I still try to horde the best coaches with 100s for specific ratings (pass blocking, accuracy, m2m coverage, whatever) in hopes they'll give rookies a big boom in training camp. If they have playbook combos I like that's just a bonus so they could replace a HC later. Thanks for the info.

Only the headcoach matters for the playbooks....the rest of the coaching staff is cosmetic for the most part with a minimal gain to player development. When I say minimal, I mean I haven't noticed any difference between a 100 rated coach and a 50 rated coach.

JDB did say he had plans to make the coaching staff more significant in the future but who knows when that will be.
