Are you able to change a player's name? And if so how?

If you have a game credit, and the league allows it, you can change a name after you draft that player and before they play a preseason game. After that, it’s locked in.

Nope, have to name the rookies before training camp. Once TC runs it locks. You can also change the names of rookie free agents if you sign one before camp.

Thought it might have been training camp, but I could have sworn I had managed to do it after…my bad

It might state somewhere that you have until the first preseason game, but I got burned by that once. It is definitely the training camp sim when names lock.

Think about it....JDB knows only players that boom would get renamed....this way he forces you to rename them all and hope!!!
