90+ players Not Performing

I've come across this a few times.

Was just wondering if this is a scheme issue, not a good fit for the team, or a hidden bust.

My 70 overall RB in League ofLegends consistently out performs my 90+ overall RB. I can understand a 70 RB outperforming an 82 RB with badly proportioned variables, but a 90+ player is usually 90+ across the board.

Is this just me?

What is your fatigue set to? I have noticed running backs that are fresh tend to have more burst. Also certain plays work better than others. But I have to think if one is outperforming the other that may not be it.

Your RB1 is slower than your RB2. Given how weak your LT and RT are, they are probably getting beaten on strength rolls against LDEs and RDEs before your slower RB1 gets around the edge, and he gets stopped for little gain or a loss, while the faster RB2 gets around the corner and is met by a smaller LB or CB.

Your RB1 also puts up way better receiving stats, which is where most of his superior overall rating comes from. Overall ratings are just a guideline in identifying potentially good players, but you have to evaluate every skill to determine who is better.

If you set up overrides for your RB1 to only run inside and routes and for your RB2 to only run outside, you'd probably find they perform better.

Thanks, Legendruthless thanks, jackals

Makes enough sense. I figured his speed and acceleration were *good enough to not be so stymied. I'll try writing him some overrides.

I also notice that high speed/low acceleration running backs tend to do pretty well. Maybe my usage of players like this is the outlier, but I've noticed it consistently, and even draft RBs late in allocations that a. have high speed/low access (85+/50-60), and b. they outperform some RBs with high accel. I always attributed this to maybe... running back patience? I've usually had a strong O line as I didn't allocate this specific team. In 4.5 my rules won a lot of games for me. I'm trying to play catch up in 4.6, but dare I say I enjoy it more?

Acceleration doesn't seem to really matter much for players under 250lbs unless it's below 50 or 60.
