Re: Sim overriding defensive playbook?

I’ve been playing this sim a while now, but just recently noticed that my defensive gameplan is getting hijacked by the sim engine. It is continuously running the same 6 plays over and over and 4 of those plays aren’t even active selections in my playbook! Why is this happening?

I have used these other play calls extensively earlier in the season, but I swapped them for other plays as they lost effectiveness. I do not currently have a full 30 plays selected, but I do have 15-20 options actively chosen. But for some reason the sim only uses 2 of those and keeps running 4 inactive plays to the point of over exposure and getting shredded. I have never been one to set up rules, but this could change my mind if it’s the only way to get control back. There is also nothing in my “matrix” that would prevent the sim from choosing my active selections instead of these other plays.

I could be wrong but I vaguely remember that if you don't have at least 30 offensive plays and 20 defensive plays the AI will override your gameplan.

check you D sliders, might have - say 4deep zone weighted, but not selected in play matrix (vice versa as well). the former causes the AI to pull plays (selected or not) to fit the designated weight. The latter causes those plays not to be used at all.

Footnote: If it were a rules issue (you mentioned it is not), then it is important to know that Offensive and Defensive rules occur in the order the user has them listed. Ones #1 - top of the list D rule for example, should correspond to the opponents most used offensive formation.
The last comment combined with the rarity of being at that down at the location at that yardage makes priotitizing them just about an astronomical calculation that Im just not willing to copy paste csvs or go through data by hand. I used to, but holy sheet it takes a long *** time and the dataset changes every game.

Thanks, it shouldn’t be the sliders either, as I have other plays in the same “square” of the matrix as the unselected plays it called instead. I am thinking I maybe didn’t have enough options overall, or perhaps the team “familiarity” has an effect?
