So lets say you have a player at safety with a good backup and good corners but bad backups. It'd be nice to be able to put him in at corner at say 1 or 2 in the event of injury at corner but not have a risk of him playing in nickle or dime sets at corner without taking out nickle and dime sets completely from the playbook. Basically being able to weight their position in the event of injuries to take the lowest damage from an injury. Or a jack of all trades LB going to DE when they are injured rather than your backup should never play DE but is a nearly as good LB (or DT in place of LB). A real life reference to this would probably best be Clay Mathews switch to MLB because of injuries. I'm thinking a weight system that would be specific to each individual player added to depth chart options and a page showing who starts where according to your depth chart with the ability to deactivate players to see what would happen if a player or players were injured to check and make sure it reacts how you want it to.
