I think most on here, who have been playing several months or more, would agree that the player's trade values are not accurate, and not even close in many cases, which makes trading much more difficult and precarious. The trade value, in addition to the AI player evaluation & rating, discounts or overlooks speed, which is one of the most, if not the most, important attributes for defensive players and RBs. It also does not take performance into considertion, which can be skewed by team strength & other factors, but should be a part of a players evaluation and rating.
My best current example of how far off the trade value can get, is my RB1 on the Indy Asylum in the Agent 86 league, Lucas Watts. His default rating is 48, my weights have him at 64. He has had an outstanding, All Pro level career over his first 5 seasons. At the halfway point of the current season, he is averaging an amazing 6.7 yds per carry. For his 4 1/2 yr career, he has gained over 4,000 yds with a great 5.8 ypc and 29 TDs scored. Compare those stats to most any other back, he is in the top ten across all the leagues for the same career period.
So... want to guess what his trade value is ?? .............................................................
His trade value is basically ZERO. Click on his name, bring up his card and have a look.....

https://agent86.myfootballnow.com/team/15I wouldnt trade him for a TE with a trade value over 2000, and there are a lot of those, which causes trade imbalances, along with 2000 value OLs. There needs to be a serious "re-tooling" of the player evaluations & trade values, which includes position importance (DB/WR vs TE/FB for example), and age/experience of the players. In addition to Watts, Ive got many undervalued and underated players with less than 50 trade values who consistently are among the lead leaders in the stat-relevant categories, like sacks for a DL, or efficiency rating for a QB. If this problem/situation can even get 50% more relevant or accurate evaluation, it will go a long way to improving the trades and roster decisions.
