I was thinking. It can (afaik) be kind of hard to keep track of what happens at every sim (trades, waiver claims and maybe more.
Since there's (seemingly) already an automated "Someone new joined the league!" posting mechanic, I'm thinking it could spice up the league if we had a similar automated news feed, either on the league page or in the forum that could be set up by the league owner.
As a flair thing, teams could be allowed to set their "primary news outlet", say "The Oakland Times" for me and then news gets automated on midweek sims like:
I'm Oakland and I decide that my primary news outlet is The Oakland Times
If I'm striking the deal with most trade value involved, my newspaper gets chosen to report that week. If there's no trades, then whoever caused the greatest upset in the week that went by - which imo should be possible to calculate since there's already the power ranking and betting lines shown on games.
The newspaper then reports something along the lines of:
[Chosen newspaper]'s wednesday edition reports that [number of trades] has taken place in [week] [week#].
[Team #1] trades [X, Y, Z] to [Team #2] for [A, B, C].
...
There has also been some waiver wire action in the league:
[Team F] claims [Player]
...
Some stats from the past round:
Top passer rating (or yards or TD or whatever)
Top rushing score (yards, TD's)
Top reciever (yards, TD's)
Most sacks
Most INTs
Most FF / FR
Looking forward to match of the week in the upcoming weekend (is already in the calendar) between [Team T] and [Team O].
Come back to the column next week!

Something along the lines of that shouldn't be too hard to make -- I THINK! -- I'm by no means a programmer, I'd just love some more flair to the game.
This became a bit more comprehensive than my initial idea, that the league owner could decide to set up a locked topic where trades were announced (like new teams) and tbh, anything from that to the above would be welcomed by me. Everything added is more role play element as owner. :-)
