Just an idea, I think it has happened before in the NFL, could be wrong, but it could add a new way to get coaches that are good if that is a problem area for a team

Coaches are not a huge part of the game. Your head coach dictates your offensive/defensive playbooks and all coaches have some impact on player development, but it's not an integral part of MFN.

Coaches attributes go up or down like the players, so I look for coaches whose progress arrows are going up. Then each season, I give them all minimal raises to keep poachers away.

Trading coaches might be a fun thing but I'd rather get the broken passing game fixed first.

Anything that gets MFN towards the 2022 NFL CBA in policy and proceedures is a win.
Tired of retro simbowl mishmash hackenstack stuff in league operations (contracts, 17 game seasons, penalties, roster size, all of it!)

MFN needs to get up to current NFL operations before moving into fixing any passing game/blocking/ whatever game play issues.
Right now, it is not what it's advertising claims to be.
Legacy bugs (EG playoff seeds not blocking issues) and current NFL CBA are the most important items to accomplish from a marketing perspective.
Lastly, I have concluded every fix to blocking will only create an opposing and exponentially difficult blocking issue to resolve. It is the MFN rabbit hole in the code.

While I agree that low player salaries are a major weak point in team management of this game, the core of this and every other football manager simulator is the football. If the football sucks, the rest of it sucks.

I'd rather have pass blocking fixed than have projected playoff seeding fixed. I'd rather have zone coverage fixed than have coach trading. And when it comes to new features, I'd much rather have a rudimentary form of custom play creation than have MFN align more closely to the NFL's CBA.

I'd rather MFN not get sued for false advertising, or accept it is no longer an NFL sim. ;)
Updating to the current CBA should be fairly easy and without further bugs.

I agree, the game engine has some issues, and yes we have been fixing blocking since 4.3...
But money is money and marketing/advertising laws are very static in implementation and age.

It is time for what is now a so called nfl sim to actually be one, and choose what is and are the easiest fixes before moving into yet another blocking debacle that either 1) totals the run game; 2) totals special teams; or 3) totals the passing game (mmm 4.6 is so much 4.4).

As a consumer, Ive been here b4 with passing or running being favored or nerfed.
Why I am here is for is an NFL sim - and MFN is nothing of the sort.
Fix the blocking issues, still not a NFL sim.
