The period of time before a league starts takes so long! And the off season is long too! Maybe being able to customize how often the sims of each off season task would be great! Speeding up the game time so we can see on field play would be a fantastic plus or even speed running(ish) through the off season would be fantastic.

Your commish has the power to eliminate free agency turns or preseason games to shorten the “downtime”. Sometimes a league will pause to recruit management for missing teams to prevent AI from taking over and making “poor” decisions. As a GM sim primarily, this game is built around the management aspect of building and maintaining teams, why would you want to eliminate the opportunities to do that before games start to matter?

Gabe is only in MFN-74, which means he's married to the 5-3-3 structure of the off-season.

Early FA - 5 sims
Draft - 3 days
Late FA - 3 sims

That is definitely too much down time.
