Are you kidding??? the 14th overall pick and a 4th year 84 SS for the last pick of the 2nd round, a 12th yr QB and a mid 60's OL? No way!!! This is a terribly lopsided trade no matter how you slice it. If he was a 3rd yr QB, OK, but no this...NO WAY!
EDIT: This cannot go through...it is waaaaaaay too lopsided to even be reasonable. If the SS wasn't included, I could see that but this was absurd

I think one of the major problems with trades like this is one is that some have been here long enough to experience a full draft and free agency plus the factor of decline on older players take advantage of newer players. The draft really drops off towards end of first round so even if the sliders say its even you will never get back the same value as a younger player combined with a 1st round pick.

Terrible trade! There should be some type of review? Are these owners with multiple teams?
Maybe trades shouldn't be allowed until an owner has played a full season?

I think that, or some other protective measure, would be a really wise suggestion, because I know I've personally gotten a lot of lopsided trade offers as a new player, and could easily see someone falling for one, as often the 'slider' suggests they're balanced, or even in positive favor when it's clearly not. It also prevents a new player taking over a team, trading off all its talent and picks, then losing interest and abandoning it when the team inevitably falls into the dregs.

This is why we have the trades post up now. If enough owners think its a lopsided trade it can be reversed or at the minimum be looked at by JDavid. We had a problem before with massively lopsided trades that went through on multiple leagues that were not noticed originally. I am sure JDavid will look it over and make a decision now that its been questioned

I agree that this trade should be reversed, no doubt about it

I'm going to agree and have vetoed the trade. While the QB Cox is a very good one, I do agree with the follow up postings that this trade is out of balance. I think a valid counter offer would be to remove either the 1.14 or the CB Li and replace that with a lower rated player and/or remove one of the items on Seattle's side.
The guide bar is just a guide, as it is really impossible to get a true objective take on a trade since so much of it is the culture of the league. (That's why you can't trade with AI teams). An interesting comment about requiring some level of season for a user to be eligible to make trades ... I'm going to think on that, because I love active trading but can certainly see that you need to be familiar with the landscape of talent within the game to not be taken advantage of.

I can honestly see both sides here. GB has a quality roster and is a QB away from being very competitive in the NFC and there really are no QBs in the draft. Also with the current state of the game and defenders automatically running to a trailing position I really do not see this as lopsided as you guys. QB is a premium position and even though he Cox is a 12 year vet he is still only 32. What would a team give up in the NFL for a known quality starting QB when it was the final piece needed to get an offense moving the ball. I would say much more honestly. Anyway, it's all good either way.

As a rookie GM I would never do a trade before I know the rules - meaning to play a full season. So inactivate the trade option for new GMs seems like a sensible choice.
I cant evaluate this trade profoundly because I am not long enough around here, but I see one thing. On one side we have one of the best GMs in this league who knows how to build a powerhouse team and on the other side we have a rookie GM like me who knows nearly nothing about this game. So by trend I have the feeling that the rookie GM would be on the shorter side of the stick...
