7,000 yard passers would indicate passing needs to be nerfed.
Totally agree. Things are a bit too jacked IMO

Agreed, WR long gainers are scary they happen so often

I agree there are a lot of long passing plays. I think a lot of this has to do with there not being very many good CBs available. I know I find this to be one of the hardest positions to fill with a quality player, and it's obvious my passing defense suffers because of it.

I've personally been seeing this even with top tier defenses going against terrible offenses.

Case and point: http://mfn8.myfootballnow.com/box/439

A 46 rated QB finished with a 117.89 rating with his top WR rated at 56 putting up 273 yards on 10 catches. This versus a defense that boasts 83/91 and 77/85 CBs and monster d-line that should be getting tons of pressure.

Interesting.

I don't think this is an issue in all leagues.

For example, in CUST 10, we've played 9 games. There are only 2 teams averaging over 300 yards per game passing.

Could it be a gameplanning issue? Too many blitzes or something?

If guys are racking up yards because they're wide open due to the playcall, it won't really matter what the ratings are.

If they're making big gains because they're some little receiver with a low break tackle ability shaking off defenders with a good tackle rating, that's a real issue.

I do think the ratings should matter. If you're good at breaking tackles, then you break some. If you're not, you don't break very many.

I think one of the main issues is that QB's dont feel pressure, they still make amazing throws regardless if pressure is on them or not. Realism you would think is that if pressure is coming up the middle the QB shouldnt be able to step into his throw. I just watched my game on league 10 and my defensive players were going right through the QB as he was throwing the ball. You would think that would have some effect on his accuracy, specially if he continued to get more and more pressure as game goes on. maybe we need a composure skill for QB's

Mfn2 season is one game from end of season and we are going to have at least 10 5,000 yard passers.

A quick fix for this would be to reduce the break tackle ability for QB'S and WR'S.
