I agree with wathog. We have rules and these were legal trades.

You guys sound extremely childish with your complaints about wanting to void these trades because you don't like it.

Enough already!

IHP3.....you just made a trade....but you only
acquired the NY team 15 days ago....doesn't
that violate the 30 day trade rule....
no..because you had a team in the league
last year...San Diego...and you released
your 1st and 2nd round 2025 draft picks
before you left...Jiminez "97 rated WR"
and Whitaker "93 rated RG
...why would you do that ?
I can't wait to hear the explanation...

At the bottom of EVERY trade posted is the following message [(This is an automated message. If you believe this trade warrants additional investigation, please contact the league admin.) Looks to me like this allows ANY owner to question a trade.

There are trade rules in place. Owners have to be in the league 30 days prior to any trading, and the scale precludes trades deemed too lopsided.
When building a roster of a poor team, quantity over quality is a great way to jump start your team. Getting a foundation in place and then refining builds long-term success. With lots of holes, this is a much quicker way to strengthen a roster.
How brazen of you to demand an explanation of a legal and permitted trade. You are not owed anything!
What a couple of sour grapes!

You know for a fact that those likely high first rounders are worth far more than what you gave up, so the fact that you are trying to act offended over a trade people are questioning because you clearly fleeced Pittsburg is pretty funny. All three of those are quite likely top 5-10 picks if recent history is any indication, making them worth multiple late firsts each, not just 3rd, 4th, and 5th rounders.

I've been asked to look at this trade but personally don't think it's as out of balance as some think.

1) Reducing your pick count for higher picks is a risk-reward choice. There are those who want to pick higher and accept the risk of those players busting with the offset that they will probably be good players, and there are those who feel there is a better probability of getting a boomer if they have more chances to roll the dice. Even if this was for 2027 picks I'd accept this as two owners who have differing perspectives on that.

-but-

2) this is for 2029 picks. Which is plenty of time for fortunes to reverse. Who knows if Pittsburgh will be a better team - even if Pittsburgh ends up in the middle of the pack in 2028 this starts to look less like a good deal for Chicago and more of a good deal for Pittsburgh. Those who are most upset about this trade are assuming that the draft order in 2029 will be the same as it was in 2026. Maybe it will, but most likely it won't.

So from my wide-angle lens I don't have a problem with this trade.

I see bitching on trades in every league and try not to say anything. Owners should not have
to explain what they think is best for the team, no matter how it looks to others. If they are doing
wrong I think it will be looked into! Lets not turn this game into something we don't want to be
a part of.
