Coaches.

I need the leagues advice on what to do here. I have tried numerous times to either sign position coaches (I need 3 guys,) or resign my defensive coordinator, (he's got one year left on his present deal.) I keep being told that I don't have the cash flow to sign anyone. My salaries aren't higher than the average, I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. I've offered less money, more money, the same money as being asked, good coaches, terrible coaches, it doesn't matter, all offers get rejected.

Am I doing something wrong?

Look at the salaries of your position coaches, some of them are making a ton of money and aren't all that great. Try signing replacements for those guys first at minimum salaries for position coaches. I'd go with young coaches that are 60+ for that position so that they can progress and be cheap for the long run.

Thanks Lellow, I'll give that a try...

I just checked and the position coaches I have signed are all making about 7.5 million, and I presently have guys rejecting contracts for double that. I don't know that this strategy will work, and I'm afraid to try... heh! This is going to sound like a ridiculous question, but is there any way to increase my cash flow? What even IS my 'cash flow'? The position coaches are asking for 18 mil, and I can only offer about 14.5, because my defensive coordinator is making 14.5 and I can't go higher than this. I've tried to give him a raise, but he keeps saying no... I'd just say yes...

If you are signing guys that are unemployed you should have no issue offering them minimum contracts of $237,592. You have a kicking coach making 15 million. Most of your guys are making 7.5 million from balancing coaching salaries out. If you offer an unemployed coach a contract at even the minimum they will not reject that offer unless they get a better one.

That's what I thought too, but I've had about 10 coaches reject contracts that no one else bid on. Check my transactions. I'll try offering coaches $300000, see how it goes.

K, I've turfed my overpaid Kicker coach and signed new guys for 300k. I think it's worked. Thanks for your help (and patience!)
