I don't care about winning here, but I care about keeping hypocrites out of the hall of champions when they throw hissy fits in forums.
This league is garbage because one person routinely got away with the kind of trades that would get him banned from any private league. JDB defended the obviously bad behavior by pointing out there is nothing within the game that prevents an experienced user from exploiting a novice, repeatedly, to gain an unfair advantage. Even before JDB introduced private leagues, there was a mass exodus of quality owners from this league. Who wants to play a cheater when the game creator endorses cheating?
Of course, even then, I was able to take a terrible team and win back-to-back titles, overcoming an opponent whose mega-roster was built through "exploits."
Using JDB's logic, there is also nothing in the game that prevents me from using fast players. If an exploit is good for the goose, it's good for the gander.
