Thank you JDB for screwing me over by not having any of my legitimate bids retain my players in FA #1, which allowed an evil intent person to join the league 10 minutes before sim time to slightly out-bid every one of my personal players and to get them.

Game should have identified the intent and have the bids fail.
I'd happily go 0-16 every year, as long as I'm taking your players or making you spend more to keep them. I can certainly set aside a few hours every off-season to F with you.
