As a rookie GM I would never do a trade before I know the rules - meaning to play a full season. So inactivate the trade option for new GMs seems like a sensible choice.

I cant evaluate this trade profoundly because I am not long enough around here, but I see one thing. On one side we have one of the best GMs in this league who knows how to build a powerhouse team and on the other side we have a rookie GM like me who knows nearly nothing about this game. So by trend I have the feeling that the rookie GM would be on the shorter side of the stick...

One of the best GMs? I have only been around for 2 seasons and took over this team. Haven't really added much in FA (always get outbid) and have hit on a couple of draft picks and missed on others. I appreciate the thought that I am one of the best. All I did was take over a team and win a championship in the 2nd year though.

Anyway, like I said... If the league has a problem with the trade it is fine to overturn as with any trade. I was just stating that I do not see it as lopsided as everybody else for previously stated reasons.

Maybe something like a message as a sort of welcome package to new owners and advising them to really understand the value of draft picks and players decline. I know when I first joined I didnt fully grasp that players could improve or decline drastically at end of training camps and as season progresses. Maybe links to certain topics drafts and young promising players vs. older declining players
