It does happen - here is my favorite example of this (I noticed it because I actually drafted him in this league)

I'm not sure this is a great example. The RB never became a full time starter and was only marginally effective as a back up. (His SP and AC really held him back.)
In MFN-19, we have a multiple CBs drafted late that have done well, but that could be that our league is still young enough to be talent deprived.
