For the most part my schedule this season looks pretty weak. I've probably basically clinched a spot already.

Good game setherick, my defense got shredded again with both of my starting safeties sitting out their 5th straight game. They're both almost fully healthy now though so it will be nice to finally be able to play them.
I don't know what game you watched. My team couldn't score until garbage time. I guess I just need to join the trend of throwing deep every play because I'm struggling to build a balanced offense in the new code.

I was mainly talking about passing yardage given up. Drafting a mobile QB seems to have really helped my passing offense a great deal.

My defense, especially my linebackers (when was the last time you said that in this game), are a problem. Two of the starters are rookies, and the third is a journeyman whose journey should have been over last season. I'll be burning through cap in the offseason to fix this mess.

The downfield passing strategy can be ineffective and it's not a easy thing to incorporate and be dominant . Getting sacked is the big reason it's not a full proof plan. , it's not as easy as people think to air it out.

Shhh...I'm doing better with that plan. Next offense will be a spread.

I agree with the talk of the short passing game being harder and deep being what it is . I'm a firm believe in a offense playbook fitting the players. Not one or two of em all 11 . And it can be frustrating trying to find the right one because it means trying new plays and teams aren't familiar with them and sometime get bad results because of it.

I've only been in the league for 3 games but so far so good! Indianapolis is going to be a real test though. Detroit you'll figure it out your offense (atleast against me) was scoring enough to keep you in games just gotta figure out the defense it is tough starting out I'm nearing the end of my first month on MFN.

Thanks for the defensive compliment blackflys, but I just can't figure out this league. Great shutout - my team couldn't run the ball at all. I even put the running back fatigue meter down to 25 and only two RB's carried the ball ????
