I guess a 95 3rd year 1st round DT , and a 84 3rd year WR who has went up to mid 80s with two 1000 yard years is not worth mentioning in the evaluation.
Reasons for Miami to make this trade...
Chance to get a DB who looks like the only one in the whole draft who could be above 95
Mellor lacks speed but has not lacked production and could have even better numbers if he wasn't a 3rd WR
Clay - despite the low amount of tackles plugged the middle as good as any DT I've ever had on any team and had an impact statistics don't show.
Reasons not to- 2 real young already proven first rounders and a solid corner who could put up better numbers as a Saftey if haven the chance.
My overall evaluation: depends on the outcome of training camp and how the DB Miami will take does. If he becomes a 95+ then this would be a great trade for Miami considering they will end up with a WR with one of there 1st round pics. Which would put Mellor at #2 and
Caroline's thoughts: we have a mountain to climb, whether it's the division who continues to get better or the Bears,, and or the Seahawks , Cowboys , Rams who will also be getting better. All that said we need to get better and look at our future at the same time and this makes sense.
To the league and owners ...Good luck in the draft . And send offers if anyone wants to move down to the 4th pick in the 2nd round
